close a forum thread

A thread initiated by me was answered (solved). Therefor I want to change the status of the thread in [SOLVED] or closed. How can I do that?

You can't close a thread, but you can edit the title of the first posting. Go to the first post, click "Edit" and then click "Go Advanced", which enables editing of the title as well as the body, and insert "Solved:".

You can also add a tag "Solved" to the thread.

As stated above, the feature that allowed the entry of [SOLVED] to a thread title is no longer active, as it was causing some issues. Either of the 2 methods above are acceptable ways of notifying others your thread is solved :)
