I have downloaded wine and to test it out I installed a game.The game installed ok but, when I went to play it I got the following error message:run-time error '429' active x component can't create object I have already tried searching google but the fixes I have found seem to be for windows only.Has anyone run into this error and how did you fix it -thanks

Might help if you told us what game it was you were trying to get working. With wine a lot of times it's completely hit and miss. Try http://www.winehq.com and see if your game is listed there.

sorry I guess I was'nt thinking the name of the game is Marine sharpshooter.
I will check out that link and see if they have some info for me
