newbe server quesqen

i want to install the ubuntu server but i have befor a kuesqen.Can i use the ubuntu server OS like ubuntu with programs?like amsn and wine hq or have i small softwear options thanks!!!!!!

By default the Ubuntu server edition comes without a graphical user interface, it is command line only. You can install all the applications you want and the gui, but it's easier to install server applications onto the desktop version.
