dear gurus and seniors

we need really badly to use ubuntu server only. but the restriction and company policy does not allow to use ubuntu server.

because on offical site oracle has name linux certified only redhat, suse, asianux only.

can you advise suggest comments, ubuntu is among the most highest download, update and free for human being everywhere in the world to us it.

but unfortunately we cant avail this opportunity.

is there any gap, security issues or some development need at ubuntu ends to upgrade or capable using oracle 10g r2 or oracle 11g

what is the issue if we use not certify products people do this, but we have to do on first on test environment then on live production.

can some one who is oracle dba also on this forum can assist further

kind regards
