Sorry, I'm extremely new to Ubuntu, and need help =(

I know that there is a Linux version of Regnum, and I have downloaded it. However, when I try to run the installer, it says that the application it will open Wine Windows Program Loader... What program should I use to run this?

Wine is a compatibility layer that runs windows programs in Linux so it sounds like you got the windows download. but I can't be sure I haven't downloaded Regnum what is the program called?

I just started playing regnum today, it's a pretty fun game. There are both windows and linux installers. Make sure you get the linux one (make sure you get the 32bit or 64bit depending on your version of Ubuntu). If it's wanting to open with wine you got the wrong one.

I also had to right click >> properties >> premissions >> "Allow executing file as a program" to get the installer to run. But after that it was smooth like butter.
