I'm looking for a 3D Linux MMORPG with decent crafting besides EVE(which is for accountants) and A Tale in the Desert(which I've already tried).

Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I was turned onto Regnum Online today. Its pretty much a WoW clone but its free. Strangely it's pretty fun. Runs like a dream under 9.04 with an nvidia card.

Are there any open MMORPGS with gameplay and graphics similar to Morrowind? That was the last RPG I played on the computer and loved it.

Regnum completely refuses to run on my machine. Might have better luck on yours.

There's a good free MMORPG called Savage 2: A Tortured Soul.

http://www.savage2.com/en/

Registration/accounts are free, they offer slight perks to a paid account (one time $9.99), it's similar to WoW, but most items are non-persistent.

It's interesting to play.

When I tried Regnum with my Intel board, it worked, but was plagues by tearing and strange video artifacts. The issues were distracting enough to impede gameplay.

this is not an mmorpg, more like a rpg/fps hybrid

Well I tried PlaneShift last night. Took a while to figure out how to install the bin file...but I ended up uninstalling it. I couldn't get it into fullscreen mode, if it even has one, and also I didn't like the fact that I had to login as superuser just to run it.

Likewise also running Karmic on AAO 150 Says video card to old etc...

Intel 945 Express Chipset anyway to workaround it?

You have to go to config and set the resolution to the full resolution of your monitor and then select fullscreen. If you run compiz, disabling it before running PS would be wise. Also, you should not have to run it as super-user. Did you install it to your home directory? Might also want to check your groups and security settings.

That being said, I was relatively underwhelmed by PlaneShift, but in all fairness, it is still in Alpha.
