Hey, i have been using Ubuntu for awhile now, and wanted to upgrade to hoary. So, I edited the sources.list, and yaaa, I can now upgrade. After looking at the amount it is to download I said to myself, bad idea. I'm not saying that upgrading is bad, but with dialup, it just makes it worse. I always have to remember that I am on dialup, and am unable to get this "new" invention called broadband. It pisses me off and the idea of never being able to get it makes the idea worse(Yeah, I checked every kind of internet, Adsl, Cable, Powerline, T1, Satilite, and anything that is avalible costs $1000 bucks to install and $100 a month).
So, I'm going to open the board to ask, how can a person in my situation download things of any nature.
Right now, I'm using my highschools bandwidth downloading small files(5mb-70mb) on a 256 mb USB keydrive I got cheap on boxing day.
