Does any one know of any good text to speech software for ubuntu, or a on-line text to speech converter that does not limit the characters you can input?
Thanks.

There is a good free Windows text-to-speech and text-to-mp3 software at panopreter.com (http://www.panopreter.com), but on Ubuntu, you can use Festival.

I would like a text to speech app with a GUI, can it be done to festival?...Festival is just too complicated...
How can it be suggested to canonical? 100 paper cuts? although this is not a bug...

KDE has kmouth, I don't know if it will work under GNOME or not. It's in the repositories.
