View Full Version : [ubuntu] file transfer to MP3 player

I installed 8 sound and video applications, and I figured out how to download podcasts in several of them. But I can't get the files I transfer to my Sansa Clip to show up in its file menu.

I reformatted the Clip, and that didn't help.

The following apps are now under "sound and video":

Amarok
Aqualung
Audacity
gpodder
gxine
kaffeine
vlc
xine

I downloaded a few Planet Money and Laporte podcasts, and they do play in all the players. I can export and/or drag and drop the files, but they just don't show up. But they have to be there, because I can see that the free disc space gets smaller.

I apologize for this total newbie problem, but it kind of feels like I've just about got this beat.

Soooo . . . what am I missing here?

Thanks in advance for your help:

I wrote some Sansa Clip instructions here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SansaClip).
