X3: The Reunion help needed

I looked into the 64 bit guide but it didn't help me because my X3 disk does not contain the install.sh file. Mine only has the install.exe file for Windows. Is there anything I can do to install this game natively on linux and not use wine?

X3 has been ported to Linux. You'd have to purchase that version instead of the Windows one, since it wasn't ported by Egosoft (LGP did the port). Right now, X3 is on sale at tuxgames for $18 US.

Well that's a bummer. No way am I gonna go out and pay $18 when the original was only $10. Thanks for the information though. :(

Firs time I've ever seen a sale on tuxgames. It stems from the one day sale on LGP a few days ago. Ordinarily, the game is $48 US. Anyone wanting to pick up some of the LGP games for cheaper should check out tuxgames. The sale is supposed to last 6 weeks.
