Hi I have this G3 400MHz iMac :

http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/imac/stats/imac_se_dv_400.html

I have tried Dapper and Hardy for Power PC and it's work little. I think my CD/DVD have problem to read my home-burned CD-disks. Is there another way to install?

My last install with Hardy succeed, but the boot halt during running /etc/rc.locals :(

I sometime manage to start in rescue mode, on my Hardy ppc alternate CD, but from there i don't know what to do...

Should I mount my partition that is on my hdd?

Another question. Which dist is best for my old g3-iMac?

Thanks for all help. /Cheers

Basically, any recent version is going to install the same way. Which equals a difficult installation for an iMac. If it's an older computer, I would recommend Xubuntu, but I don't know your machine's specs.

To my honest opinion I would recommend Debian Lenny.
