Hi everyone! I am Kimberly. I am new to the forums. I have been running Ubuntu 8.04LTS for quite sometime now. I love it. However, I am finding I am running into problems with Second Life when it comes to sounds. I have attempted some of the things found here, lately, I tried the pulse audio, where someone recommended installing it. Things work better now, however, whenever I teleport out of an area, I lose all my sounds. I cannot exit out of Second Life after I lose my sounds because as soon as I hit the "X" the computer locks up and I have to reboot the whole thing. Does anyone have any ideas how this can be fixed?
My sound card is part of the motherboard. I have an HP Pavilion Media Center TV PC. My video card is an NVidia 7500LE (could be wrong about the LE). Any help would be really appretiated. I love Second Life and would love to get it to work properly.
Thank you!
Kimmy
