UbuntuStudio 9.04 freezes.....Burrrrrrr

Hello,

I just installed U-Studio on our Dell Laptop, and it freezes randomly..

After the first boot it froze solid upon starting the update, sometimes after a network transfer, and everytime after I start Jack.

The Jack Freeze happens a few seconds to a minute after I start the jack connection. It connects to my Mackie Onyx 1640, everything looks good and then it freezes completely, As I must hold the power button down to shut it off...


I have been able to even start Ardour but it always freezes.

These freezes occur in the non studio Kubuntu 9.04 version also(I have both install dvds. )

Any Ideas?
