dell support

hi i recently bought a dell inspirion mini 9 laptop.
it came with ubuntu.
I've never heard of it before, I m trying to connect to the internet via a 3 mobile broadband usb modem.
but for some reason everytime I plug in the usb it doesn recognise that the usb modem is there, I cant seem to find any drivers to help with this. any one got any solutiona.
I can connect vis wifi.

Not sure if you are still trying with this, but the newest version of Ubuntu (9.04) has a wizard for connecting to mobile broadband devices, which includes UK telecom company presets.

If you are still struggling, it might be worthwhile installing 9.04 Netbook Remix.
