pretty much anything by logitech should work fine

i'm using a cheap non-name brand controller and it works without issues

Some gamepads are read as HID (Human Interface Devices) and therefore are universally supported without drives. They read like a mouse.

They are basically zero-customizable but work with any system. You just change the game keys to the ones the controller inputs. If the game doesn't support chaging keys, though, you'd be screwed.

Just use a converter and the real thing. I've got 3 different converters for dual shocks and they all worked by just plugging them in. I never found any PC controllers including the modern Logitech gamepads nearly as ergonomically viable.
