I'm trying to set up a Jaunty Server 9.04 install as a Samba PDC. I followed the instructions here (https://help.ubuntu.com/9.04/serverguide/C/samba-dc.html) and I applied the documentation bug fix here (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-docs/+bug/371730), but no go. The XP workstation tells me that "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. A bit of ether sniffing shows that workstation and server do talk to each other, like in this forum post from April 2004 (http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2004-April/085195.html) and with a similar dialogue, but no go.

What gives? Damned if I know... And neither does Google. :-(

Any hints and directions would be appreciated!! Thanks...
