metasploit not working

hi....

i m using metasploit framework GUI v3.2.m examining the exploit
mailcarrier_smtp_ehlo.For this exploit we need some specific
platform.windows 2000 pro sp4 is also one of the platforms. therefore i
deployed smtp server 2.51 required for this particular exploit in that
particular machine having os windows 2000 pro sp4. i tried to launch
attack from some other machine.but its not working.i do not know the
proper symptons what it will show if the attack is successfull.if anybody
knows pls help............

Do you know if you're failing at the exploit or payload point? If you're unsure then why not take the offensive security course and be taught how to actually use the tool.

edit: a meterpreter shell is my favorite remote windows mgt tool ;)
