Half life 2 install problems

Hello, I've been having trouble getting half life 2 episode one and two to install, everything goes okay until the steam installer says something like "preparing half life episode 1 (or 2 depending on what I'm installing) files for transfer" after a while the status bar fills up, but nothing happens; it just sits there. I have even left it on all night with no difference.

I don't think thats a wine bug. It sometimes does that when its still downloading the game. Right click on either one in the games list and go to properties to make sure that you downloaded both of them.

try changing the settings in winecfg, just run winecfg in alt+f2

Thanks for the replies, but I'm installing both games off of the one DVD that is the half life 2 episode pack. Also what should I change in the wine config.
