I am trying to install an HTML slideshow generator to easily make a gallery to post on the web. I have installed igal, igal2, and one called gallery from the synaptic pkg mgr. igal is supposed to be executed by going to the folder containing the images and typing the command igal, the an html file or php file is supposed to pop up in the folder. When I do this nothing happens. I installed these packages but where did they go? They aren't listed under any of my applications, nor can they be added to the panel. How do I run these programs? I think igal is just a command line deal but gallery is supposed to be a program with configurable options. I am at a loss, any ideas?

I've used JAlbum for this purpose. If you're interested, I've got a small tutorial for installation on my website at :
