Speech to text

I've seen answers on text to speech on these forums, but I'm looking to do the reverse: take an MP3 file interview and make it into text that I can then proofread. The other option (just typing what I hear) could take a long time.

Are there any software options available?

I have a very strong feeling you'll be out of luck on this one. As far as I know, no-one's done speech to text software for Linux since IBM ViaVoice many years ago, which is long defunct.

I keep thinking I might do something along these lines, but it may not happen until around 2046.....
