I have two servers, one virtual (VPS) with a hosting provider, and one physical at home. The physical one needs a mail server to send mail from scripts, and I might want to use it to send email from my home network also.
Both run Ubuntu server, 8.04 on the VPS and 9.04 on the physical one.
Both locations have fixed IP addresses, and It's fairly easy for me to change any DNS records with my domain host.
How would you have configured such a setup? Should one of them be a satellite system? Would you create a separate IMAP and SMTP server?
