Hi - I've been having some problems with the intel drivers on my Thinkpad T60 (with intel 945GM graphics chipset)

Originally I thought it was just related to Compiz, but it seems to be everywhere.

If I install the intel driver, and restart X, it works brilliantly - I'm able to run full effect on compiz, glxgears gives 700+ fps, gl screensavers all work etc.

However, after I reboot it all stops working. Compiz won't start (software rasterizer found), glxgears runs at only about 100fps.

I just don't know where the problem is. I don't have an xorg.conf file (something that hasn't been a problem before) so it won't be a misconfiguration in there (unless there is something I don't know). Any ideas on how to track this down.

I'm running:
T60
Intrepid
Intel 2.4 driver
