Just tried using bluetooth to connect to my phone today (only had Kubuntu a few days now) and it worked, first time, no problems.
Which is amazing, considering that under XP the first time I put the bluetooth chip in it caused a BSOD, then after booting in safe mode and installing it I got another BSOD when logging in, then went back to safe mode and did restore, tried again, and again.. In the end, I'd tried 3 different programs for doing it, 4 different drivers (all supposed to support my BT chipset), and none worked.
In the end I managed to get it working using MS's built in programs, a driver from some website I found, and even then it only did file transfer.
Today, I turn on my phone's bluetooth, go to Konqueror and go to remote places, click bluetooth, click on my phone's name, and I'm already able to browse the files; transfer works without a hitch; there's an option for dialup networking, I can use it as a headset or use my computer as the headset for it's calls...
I was shocked that it just worked, first time, no problems, and far far quicker than windows ever managed :)
It's the first thing like this to work without needing me to download anything extra, no editing config files... it's great :D
All in all, done perfectly and better than windows ever managed.
It's things like this that remind me why I swapped to linux :D
