Hey all.
I can't figure out Gnuchess! If I use the windows system to start Gnuchess, nothing happens. When I use the console, I can start Gnuchess, but in the terminal it just says something like "white.move(1): " and waits for input. Is there no gui, or am I doing something horribly wrong?

GNUChess is ONLY a chess engine. You need a GUI-client to speak with the engine.
There are alot of clients avialable for example : Xboard, Eboard, ...
Other chess engines : crafty, ...

You probably want to play with graphics, so you'll need to download xboard as well as gnuchess.
To play, you can start it from a terminal which will bring up the nice gui:
xboard -size medium -fcp gnuchess
I just wish I could beat it! ;)
