disappearing truecrypt

hello, truecrypt seems to be self deleteing itself. it installs fine but after a few days the truecrypt icon in the gnome menu is no longer there. i've installed the program from a deb package about 3 times already due to this bug. i don;t know what the deal is. anyone know? i'm using 9.04

I have truecrypt on two jaunty installs (version 6.1a from truecrypt.org). I haven't noticed that behavior..... Yet.

When the icon disappears, have you tried typing truecrypt in a terminal window?

I've seen apt-get do some funny autoremove things like that if I did pay attention, but I don't think the package manager synaptic does autoremove though.

I have this problem too. It doesn't start from terminal either. It seems to uninstalled by something?
