Hi all,

After upgrading to 9.04, I followed the "How to", to enable my laptop to play copyrighted videos. No joy.

With Movie Player, I get the error message, "Could not open location; you might not have permissions to open this file.

With MPlayer, I get the error message, "Seek Failed".

With Movie Player (Gstreamer), I get the error message, "Could not read file from resource."

I really didn't expect the latter to play, but at this point, I was willing to try any software.

I would apprectiate any help.

Thanx

If you followed the How-To in this forum most of your files should open.
Anyway, visit medibuntu.org and follow the repository howto instructions for jaunty. Then install mplayer and w32codecs to play your files. If you find all this too daunting see this thread
