I have upgraded from Intrepid to Jaunty on a Toshiba Satellite A210, and now the integrated webcam does not render a preview anymore.
I have tried with Cheese, which just crashes and gives me this message:
The program 'cheese' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
(Details: serial 63 error_code 11 request_code 132 minor_code 19)
Also Skype fails to show me video, both from my camera and from another contact during a call, although the image captured from my camera is transmitted normally to whom I'm talking to.
The A210 has a Chicony USB integrated camera, and an ATI Radeon X1200 video card. Support for this card has just been dropped by ATI, so the fglrx is no longer available.
Can this have anything to do with the change on the video driver?
