I installed ubuntu 9.04 and managed to get most of the stuff working (I still have a few glitches but nothing very important).
The only BIG problem I have is using an external VGA display.
I'm using the latest nvidia driver (downloaded it today from the website) and I configured my external display using the nvidia-settings tool.
The problem is that the video in the external display is sort of garbled. I can see part of the screen (on the left), but the rest is fuzzy. Believe me I tried a LOT of different settings, but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas? has anybody manage to get an external display (primarily VGA) working on the unibody macbook pro?
any help will be very appreciated,
many thanks
