I am very new to ubuntu, so please bear with me. Every time I try to play a dvd, or a wmv video from the internet, the video flickers. Though flash video, like from youtube, plays just fine.
Also, I can't put my computer on hibernate, because once it comes out from hybernation, its just a black screen with green lines.
I am using ATI Radeon HD 4870 graphics card. I do get 3d accelartion (all the fancy settings from compiz fusion work just fine).
