I have 2 Series 2 DTivos that I have hacked to enclude unencrypting and using MRV (multi room veiwing) and I would like to set up a server to keep some of the recordings and also a seperate frontend to watch those recordings. I dont need Myth to actually do the recordings so I would not be installing a card to record on either machine.
Is Myth as a frontend or backend dependent on installing a card for the video input?
I have a LAMP set up and running right now. Could I simply add a myth backend to copy (I think I would net to demux to .MPG as well)?
Setup a Myth frontend seperately to watch the recordings?
