Alright, I'm looking for a program on appropriately the equivalent level of Sony Vegas.
This is Windows only software, and I need a replacement for it on Ubuntu.
-Here's Vegas- (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro9)

If anyone knows of one, any help would be appreciated. Thank You!

I used Vegas for a long time. The most similar is "Kdenlive" :
sudo apt-get install kdenlive
Also, you can try openmovieeditor, pitivi, and cinelerra.

First of all do not expect to find something similar to vegas.
What you will find is different. If you want high level look for cinelerra or blender VSE (keyframes and ipo curves). These apps will require some time to learn them. Kdenlive is medium level and easy to learn. It is a good application to start with and to check if you need more. Kino is good, simple, rock stable and well known for capturing video from camcorders.
