Anybody using Brasero Disk Burner have a solution for this message: "Please replace disk with supported CD or DVD. It is not possible to write with the current set of plug-ins."

I'm getting this error too. I'm gonna see if updating brasero fixes the problem. I'll post back here if it does.

I also get this error. It looks as if it's due to a missing plugin - ffenc_mpeg2video - at least on my system.:)

Did anybody get a solution to this problem? How do I download that plug-in, it won't show up when I search for it either in Add/Remove Programs or Synaptic Package Manager. :o

I have this same problem when I try to burn video dvds and have no idea how to fix it. I have all the plugins I think I need for now I'm just going to try k3b.

Yep... same problem here too!

Has anybody reported it as a bug?

This thread might be of some help. (?)

Comprehensive Multimedia & Video Howto

maybe the enabling of Medibuntu could add whats missing.

also look at this link: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu

I found it to be very useful to set up you system the way you would like, maybe it could cure your problems, hopefully.

He has allot of good stuff, but as for the dvd burning problem, I have already tried everything except for maybe the "Install non-free-codecs". But the odds are not in my favor with ALL the other stuff I installed and tried yesterday.

Add another one to the "me too" crowd. I had the same problem with intrepid and hoped it would get fixed in jaunty.

Same Problem!

I tried two different things:

1 - Burn Audio Files to CD with Brasero and/or k3b;
2 - Burn Audio Files to DVD with Brasero and/or k3b;

Same problems!
I have Medibuntu codecs installed as well and I'm using Intrepid Ibex.
