Hi I have a cowon D2 and I was just wondering how jetaudio works in wine, and of course if you can convert FLV with jetaudio running in wine?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I did a search on it and nobody has really touched on the video features.

Refer this

I tested for 4.5, and Basic 5.0, then lost interest. Info by other testers is available there on later versions.

Downloaded and installed JAD basic

On first run, you are asked to select the mode of operation/display. After selection and clicking ok nothing happens. You have to double click on the desktop icon again. If you get a clutter of windows, note that the media library windows does not move. This is because you are prompted that a windows media codec needs to be downloaded, Yes/No. I went ahead with it, and I got some error messages which I clicked ok. the program did not crash and the codec downloaded and installed successfully. I then closed jetaudio from the toolbar and had to force quit. Double clicked on the desktop icon again to open it :)
It opened a little slowly, but without a hitch. Loaded files into the library. Clicked on track 2 and it started to play after a brief 3 second freeze. The sound quality is fantastic as ever.

Tested:
Player
Rip
Convert
Burn

Not tested:
Broadcast
Get music
Record
Timer/Alarm

Wow awesome! I haven't had a chance to download wine and jetaudio yet to give it a try but it looks like I will have to now!

I installed wine and downloaded jet audio 7.18. The installation went smoothly. As quoted it did ask for the windows 9 media files update and got the update online.
tried to play the music.. first attempted the system froze....
2nd attempt... was able to play 1 song but when i tried to add my collection it gave error and froze again....
3rd attempt logged off and logged in again and was able to add half of 5000songs but froze after 900 songs...
4th attempt logged off again and logged in.. was able to add all 5000 songs on my external hard drive connected via usb and able to play with shuffle mode and normal mode aswell...

tried testing other features like timer with stopping playback option.. worked like dream...
able to play internet radio....

i would recommend to try... it worked finally for me... :)
