help with Transcriber

Hello all,

I have just started using Transcriber, installed through synaptic. It is working well except for one thing. I can pause/ play with the tab button. But what I want to do is pause, and then resume playing from 1 second before the pause point. Right now I have to press tab to pause, then alt-leftarrow twice to back up one second, and tab to play again.

It's hard to imagine transcription software that does not have this feature. Does anyone know how to do this?

This would be a great feature, and seems quite simple to implement, but I wonder if it's still under development. the latest update to the website at http://trans.sourceforge.net/ is dated from early 2009, and the mailing list is quite inactive.
