Does anyone have any suggestions for a high quality low noise cable amplifier that can drive 6 inputs. I tried a $27 GE 4 way amp from home depot w/ a noise rating of 5.5db but it seems to add too much noise to the signal and introduces artifacts on digital channels on my myth box, my HD Tivo and my Motorola DCT6412 HD DVR. Without amplification there is no way to split the signal so that my 4 input Myth TV box can lock on to a signal on any of my digital tuners.

The problem may not be your amplification, it may be your Haupauge digital tuners. I found my own 1600 to be so digitally deaf that it was not worth using in this capacity, even with amplification. On the other hand, I have no trouble with a 5-way split including 2 pchdtv-5500s, an AverMedia A180, an old PVR 150, and the analog half of the 1600 with no amplification at all.
When I was using a line drop amp, I followed some online recommendations and went with a "Motorola Signal Booster 484095-001-00 Bi-Directional RF Amplifier", which I bought from Amazon. It did not add any noise or artifacts in any of my tuners that I could determine. The 1600 could now lock on to perhaps a third of the stations that the other digital tuners found without amplification.
I notice now that the amp now also comes in a 4-port version, the "Motorola Signal Booster 4-Port BDA-S4 Cable Modem TV HDTV Amplifier".
Your mileage may vary, of course, but these amps might be worth looking into for you.
