I just got a Dell Optiplex P4 system up and running, I bought a D-Link DWL-G122 C1 Wireless USB adaptor to get wireless going.

I first tried to get it going with Intrepid, and then updated to Jaunty but have exactly the same problems.

The system sees the wireless card, and can even connect to it, it says it's connected to wireless, has all the appropriate icons etc (using WEP 40/128-bit Key)

These are exactly the same settings as my laptop which uses wireless fine.

However there's no internet, I can't ping other computers or the router (A Netgear WGR614 V5). Also the wireless connection takes a long time to connect.

Any help much appreciated.
