I'm having all sorts of issues getting the Network Management widget to get things working. In 8.10 I was just straight using wpa_supplicant, but it would be nice to use this app, if only it worked more reliably.

Anyone have any ideas why it's not able to reliably stay connected?

thanks!

Well, I just installed WICD, although it seems rather difficult to install because you can't install it if network-manager is installed, and you can't install it if you're not online. I have no idea how I was able to install it but if you can, then do it.

I was having a problem to connect wireless using WPA-PSK on my HP tc4200.
I checked readme in /usr/share/doc/NetworkManager and was playing a bit with /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf also copying one of the config files in /usr/share/wpa_supplicant/examples to /etc as wpa_supplicant.conf with no luck.
Finally I installed Wicd using adept and it gets me connected wireless.
BTW installation of wicd removes knetworkmanager and network-manager-gnome on my machine.
