hey,
what are the main differences in ubuntu studio, i mean how would it help a 2d graphics artist?
i am using xubuntu and was thinking if i install ubuntustudio-graphics how would that effect me? and do i have to install ubuntustudio-desktop as well? i use xfce cos i like it not because i have an old computer.
thanks,

As I understand it Ubuntu Studio's advantage is with
lower latency in digital audio production.
Currently there are threads here with some people
even prefering Hardy 8.4 to Ubuntu Studio for
Audio.

ubuntustudio-graphics is just a meta-package that will install other graphics applications, it can be installed by itself (no need for ubuntustudio-desktop)
for info on which programs it installs, read here: http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=default§ion=all&arch=any&searchon=names&keywords=ubuntustudio-graphics
