View Full Version : [ubuntu] Belkin PCI Wireless card acting 'disabled'

I've just tried Ubuntu for the first time but cannot get the internet working.

There aren't any wireless networks appearing, although the system seems to recognise the type of wireless card. I followed the steps in the troubleshooting in Ubuntu, typing some strange command into the terminal and it came back as 'DISABLED'.

I looked at the sticky link here but was unable to make head nor tail of what was going on. Since I can't get online in Ubuntu, I can't keep going back and forth trying things from the sticky since I don't really know what I'm doing.

Would someone be able to walk me through a few basic steps?

It's a Belkin 802.11g, in a PCI slot of a PC.

Thankyou.
