No audio

I have no audio at all. I know that there are quite a few possibilities. I am trying to get sound to come out of the front of the pc in an Creative Audigy sound system.

It might be drivers. I am a nub so all help would be useful.

FYI: Jaunty Jackelope 9.04 x86 64bit

System: AMD 5200, 2*2GB ADATA DDR2800, PNY 7900GS, Seagate 250GB, Gigabyte M59SLI-S5

Please post the output of:

$ aplay -l

Nobody can realistically help until you post at least your basic specs (distribution version, architecture), so please provide some more information.
