Runes of Magic with wine

I installed Runes of Magic with wine however I can not get past the connecting to server dialog box. I read in this thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1118099 that you need the winsock.dll file in your system folder, but I put it there and it still gets stuck at that box. Any suggestions?:confused: O and i have the wine version thats in the jaunty repos.

You need to update Wine to a version greater than 1.1.17 and the game will run right out of the box without any additional DLLs:

In order to get a more current (i.e. the latest) version of Wine, follow the instructions here:

Just in case you are running the latest version of Wine (version 1.1.28 as of this post) it wont work "out of the box". There are some additional steps that you need to run to get RoM to run correctly.
