Hello,
I have a weird question today :). I would like to "partition" my processor and ram, i have a 4 x 2.3ghz processor and 4 go ram. I would like:
User 1 = 1 heart of the processors, 1 go of ram only for him
User 2 = the same thing
etc
etc
So basicly all that user 1 does doesn't touch the config of user 2 or 3 ...
Is this possible? and how? Thanks in advance
uSx.

Hi,
I didn't understand your question properly but it does sound interesting and a little bit weird. Why would you want to do something like this. Can you describe any special situation where you need such settings.
Do you 've 1 system/server or 4 different systems ?

Hello,
In my situation it is for game hosting, I could put 4 game servers on that one machine, but if client1 (user1) uses all of his dedicated memory, user 2 shouldnt be touched by it (to avoid lags). Im thinking of virtual servers, their is just 2 problems:
-4 systems running, so more ressources are used.
-I don't know if i can dedicate 1 heart of the processor under a virtual machine.
Thanks in advance.

With a virtual machine you'd be able to limit RAM, not sure about the processor.
