View Full Version : [ubuntu] no input device when battery powered (9.04)

Hi guys,

I am running a fresh 9.04 installation on my Dell Vostro 1310. However, no input device, i.e. keyboard and mouse, seem to work when my laptop battery powered. The system reaches the login screen and the cursor is flashing, but i cannot type or move the mouse.

I can observe the same behavior booting the Dell in plugged mode after some time being switched off (e.g. for traveling to the university and back home).

It might be a kernel issue, since I did not have these problems using Ubuntu 8.10.

Any help? Thanks.

same Problem here but no solution.

If you have an dualboot system and start Windows first and then make a warm restart to linux you alsohave keyboard and touchpat working.

But not from start ......

I also have here the same issue on my Vostro 1310. When I start it using the battery, I always have this problem. And, sometimes, It might happen even when connect to the A/C power adapter. As the parent of this thread, I've never had this problem with Ubuntu 8.10.

Best regards
