Starting a thread to see what is out there.
Where do you watch you news and or listen to music.

Looking for posts on Web sites and web based programs that are Ubuntu friendly.

Starting off Sreamtuner a program in synaptic that allows Ubuntu users to access varios music streams played on XMMS.
Also the Linux realplayer allows for accessing live 365 but it is not exactly pretty.

I also think that Yahoo has some news video pages though not all of them work with Linux

I watch/read/listen to the news from the bbc - http://news.bbc.co.uk and listen to bbc radio five live http://bbc.co.uk/fivelive

Once I got real player working on my Ubuntu system it all works well.

The bbc even have a help page for linux users or real player: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/audiohelp_nix.shtml
