8.10 Input not supported

I just installed 8.10 on a computer and selected the restricted nvidia driver to use and when I rebooted and logged in it gave me an input not supported message. not sure how to fix it. Any help would be helpful.

Is this an Ubuntu error or something your monitor is showing?

its an error that is from my monitor. like i can hear the startup sound and thats all.

Try rebooting and going into Grub and selecting the recovery mode. Reset X with a different (lower?) resolution, whatever works best for your monitor.
