logo usage question

i'm thinking about using it, maybe make a background or something, while looking at the Logo Usage Guidelines i read this


If presented in multiple colours, the logo should only use the “official” logo colours.

i'm a bit confused on this, does that mean you can change the colors, but only using yellow, orange, red?

if someone could explain this, that would be lovely. an example would be good too

You can use the logo in a single color (black, white, blue, orange, red, brown...) but if you use the logo in multiple colours you have to use it in the official logo colors.

You can't use it white & red & black (just an example).
