Hello I've take a lot of time in configuring VLC and I've seen that the only way to have it perfectly integrated with the compiz effects (wobbling window, and others) it's to use the X11 output in the video settings.
But if I choose X11 output in fullscreen it's really noticeable a lot of screen tearing. With the other output, XVideo (the default in VLC), the image is perfect without tearing at all, but the video isn't integrated with compiz at all! When I move the window a black or blue space appears and the effect aren't applied on the video's window.
Is there a way to have good performance and no tearing (XVideo) with the perfect integration in compiz of the X11 output?
Thanks a lot for the answers!!

UP! I think that depends from compiz... anyone has a x11 output without tearing?
