Hi,

I am stuck on installing squeezeslave. The instructions on the official wiki are incomplete. I have downloaded the appropriate executable from sourceforge, but I am a little hazy on how to install via the cli.

Thanks!

Prebuilt binaries are here:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=105169&package_id=176494&release_id=532275

Doesn't look very mature yet though.

Thanks for trying to help, what I was after was help on how to install binaries over the command line. Thanks!

If you are still wondering, download the latest build. Extract it to your home directory.

Move the squeezeslave file to /usr/bin/

Then type
squeezeslave ip.of.your.slimserver

That`s it.

Thanks! Listening to it now... Took a while, but I got there. I over-complicated it.

Have you tried using the gnome-do plugin with it. Just type what you want to listen to. The first few letters usually do it ;)
