Hi!
I couldn't find any solution, so I decided to make a new thread (in case there in fact *is* one somewhere and I missed it, could you please tell me where?).

A while ago, I installed Ubuntu Intrepid on my notebook and later found out, that the dvd-rom isn't really working properly - after loading cd/dvd, it works for around a minute, then suddenly stops responding, I can't even open it (it locks up) and it says that "Medium couldn't be mounted, there's no media." or something - sorry, I have Czech version and don't know the exact English translation) and sometimes it even pops out an error "DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken."

Please tell me, what exactly I should post here.
