Hello. Where are the ubuntu login screen wallpapers kept?

You mean the splash screen???
you can change this with system->admin->login window->local tab

Yep. You can't really change just the background unless you go into the theme files. You can also go to "gnome-look.org" or "kde-look.org" (depending on which you use, if you use fluxbox or any *box then box-look.org) and they have diffrent login themes. Usually titled GDM orKDM.

When I click on +add on the background tab and when I want to add a new wallpaper, it just automatically goes to my 'pictures' folder. If you download or have a pic, simply paste it to where your +add opens up to. For me that would be pictures.

@rcayea but kineem is talking about the splash screen as i think.
